Creative/Animation
• All files must be under 40k in size
• The animation should not contain strobing effects.
• The creative should not disable fields or functionality on the site.
• Creative should be provided in the Flash 4 or higher.
• A backup GIF or JPEG must be provided with all SWF files.
• The creative should not disable browser back buttons or force any plug-ins to be downloaded.
• All creative for Gadget Grapevine Newsletter must use GIF or JPEG.

Flash Action Scripting/Tracking
getURL actions:
• The URL should be _level0:clickTag or _level0.clickTag (depending upon Flash version)
• The URL is set for an expression.
• The target window is set to _blank
• Variables are set to Don’t send
Send your finished creative .swf file and back up animated gif to nathan@gadgetgroup.com.au, 5 working days before the placement is due to run. Please also send the URL for the page you want to link to.

FTP access
If you are able to send files via FTP (File Transfer Protocol), please ask for our FTP details.

Advertising material should be prepared to the following specifications:
• Be in PDF format must be single page files
• All artwork must be produced using only CMYK
• Include all required fonts embedded into the file
• Please note that the ink tolerance for our magazines (90gsm coated) is 300%.
• Please allow 5mm bleed around all sides of your artwork.

Single page spread
• Trim area: 210 x 297 mm (A4)
• Type Area: 190 x 277 mm
• Bleed: 220 x 307 mm
Double page spread
• Trim area: 420 x 297 mm (A3)
• Type Area: 400 x 277 mm
• Bleed: 430 x 307 mm

Delivering Artwork
Advertisements should be submitted via the QuickCut (www.quickcut.com) Quicksend service.
If you are not delivering material using the QuickCut service, please email your artwork (must be under 10MB) to bill@gadgetgroup.com.au. If your artwork is over 10MB, please use YouSendIt (www.yousendit.com) to send artwork. If you wish to send your artwork to our FTP server, please use the below address to upload to our ftp server. Please send an email to bill@gadgetgroup.com.au when uploading artwork.

Accepted Programs
In the event that you are unable to provide a press-ready PDF file, files made in the following programs will be accepted: InDesign (CS3 or higher), Photoshop and Illustrator. The file must be pre-flight collected with all fonts and images included. Please use YouSendIt (www.yousendit.com) to send collected artwork. If you have access to a FTP server, please upload your artwork to your FTP server.
